2011 Favourites

Hiiiiii Everyone,

Sorry this is a little late but it took me aggggges to finally decide on my favourite things for 2011. But needless to say, I have done it, and I am going to announce them now!

Also sorry for the lack of posting, I have been so busy this week, first week back to work!!

Lets get started.....

Sleek New Skin Revive Silicone Based Foundation my colour was 623 Sand. This was my spring/summer foundation as it was slightly lighter. It leaves a beautiful flawless finish, and I think it's amazing for the price. The only criticism I would have is it is slightly thick and heavy on the skin. I bought 3 bottles of this in 2011, and loved using it.

My second favourite foundation of 2011 is ELF's Flawless Finish Foundation, my colour is Sand. I bought this around September as I wanted to try a new foundation, I had been using Sleek's one for the majority of the year and just needed a change. I took a chance on this as I was just buying a few things I always get on their website and thought I would look at their studio range a little more closely. I saw this for £3.50 and thought I would give it a try. I am so impressed with the quality of this foundation it's unreal. It smells amazing better than any foundation I have tried before, it's light and a airy, gives a medium coverage and the colour I picked is perfect. For £3.50 you can't go wrong, and I will be buying this in the future.

These are the GOSH Precious Powder Pearls. I bought these early summer time, because in the summer I only wear a light foundation and not alot of blush/bronzer so I wanted something light to give me a bit of a glow, and these do the job perfectly. They are so glittery, they make you light up! I love these, and they have lasted such a long time, I am going to find out if they do these in different varieties I want the whole collection!

My favourite powder of 2011 is Rimmel London Stay Matte Pressed Powder in 004 Sandstorm (funny how all my foundations and powders are called sand?!) I LOVE this powder, it's really important for my face products to be light and airy, I don't want to feel like I have a ton of makeup on my face I want it to feel natural and this powder does that. It's a lovely colour and I am really impressed by this, again this is my 3rd one of these and I will always buy them as long as they are available.

The Bronzed & The Beautiful by Toofaced is AMAZING! Who doesn't want a leopard print bronzer? Thumbs up to the designers at Toofaced also, they always have the most amazing packaging, I love the way they package their products, it's always cute. I love all of these bronzers the same, Sun Bunny can come out too dark if your not light handed with it, but Snow Bunny & Pink Leopard are amazing, I have used this so many times, and the flatbuki brush is so cute too. I love this set. Toofaced products are always of a high standard and this collection is no different.

I am lucky with my skin and never use a proper concealer, although I am looking to try one or two this year just to see if they really make a difference. As my concealer I always use ELF's Cover Up Stick in Honey. I would say the quality is average, but the colour matches my skin perfection so if I do get blemishes, it's great to use. I have used 4 of those in 2011, and although I really like them and think they are great, maybe it is time to branch out to a proper concealer...

Eyeshadows, Liners, Primers & Mascaras

Loreal Paris Color Appeal Chrome Shine in Dazzling Khaki. Well I can say it's not a khaki colour at all, it's a metal grey colour and it's GORGEOUS! Almost every time I went to a party, or out on the town I wore this eyeshadow in 2011. It's pigmented and really really pretty on, if anyone wants to try this, go and buy one you will NOT be disappointed! Unfortunately this is the only shade I have it in, but I am going to be trying out a few more soon.

Sleek Eyeshadow Palette in  Storm 578. Before my Naked palette this one was my favourite, as you can tell! Sorry it's so messy it has been used SOOO much! What can I say about Sleek Palettes, I love them. They are high quality, really pigmented, beautiful colours, I have about 6/7 different palettes and my collection will continue you grow in 2012. They are affordable, and a great size, I give this palette a 10/10!!

The Naked Eye Palette by Toofaced. I love this palette I got it, late summer early autumn when my Sleek palette started running low! The colours are beautiful, Lapdance, Like A Virgin & Pillow Talk are my favourites as you can tell, once again amazing quality from Toofaced, I know they do a couple of different ones of these so I may get one soon and review it for you.

Everyone knows what this is already, just incase you don't it's the Urban Decay Primer Potion, best eyeshadow primer ever, use it every single day, it works wonders! It's the king of all primers.

I don't often wear eyeliner, but when I do, it's always Rimmel London Exaggerate Waterproof Eye Definer in 261 Noir. I love this pencil, I am on my 2nd/3rd and it always does it's job. Again I am open to new ones so if anyone has any suggestions, comment below. But this one is soft, stays in place and it took me a long time to find the perfect eyeliner for me, and this is the best one I have used so far.

Ahhhhh my "go to" mascara. Maybellines, One By One Volum' Express, this is a seriously good mascara. I tried Falsies, also by Maybelline and didn't really get on with it, but this one blew me away. It made my lashes longer, thicker and didn't get clumpy for about 3 months, which is about the time that I like to buy a new one anyway. It's not expensive for how good it is and i suggest everyone goes out and buys this now!!

I got these 17 lipsticks from my boyfriends mum not this Christmas, but the Christmas before. The top colour is Hollwood, and it's a bright red glossy colour, and the one below it is Nudist Peach which is a neutral, peachy glossy colour also. These lipsticks are so soft, and shiny, I used them both so many times I haven't been out to try any other colours yet but I will! They look so pretty on, I can't wait to try other colours. But if you want to use red lipstick and put a gloss over, the 17 Hollywood lipstick does that for you in one.

Rimmel London's Lasting Finish Lipstick in shade 006 Pink Blush. Gorgeous pink colour, like a nude pink not really a bright pink, gorgeous for day or night, and it does stay on for ages. Really impressed with this one.

Sally Hansen Diamond Strength Instant Nail Hardener. A good friend of mine suggested this to me, when we were out shopping in November time, as my nails were getting into a right state I thought I had tried everything to make them healthy and grow to a nice length but nothing was working, so I bought this, and I have to say it worked miracles on my nails within just over a week my nails were growing and they felt strong. I now use this over the top of my nails when I paint them also, to lock in the colour and to continue to make my nails grow.

I never really used to wear nail polish as my nails were aways in horrible condition, but the nail polishes I always loved were the Barry M ones. These are my 4 favourites from 2011, I worse these 4 colours to death, I'm glad I have new ones now, as my nails are in better condition I can paint them all the time. Barry M colours are always lovely and bright and I love using these. The colours are as follows from left to right, 295 Pure Turquoise, 296 Coral, 292 (no name?), 272 Shocking Pink.

Well everyone, those are my 2011 favourites, leave all your comments below of what you think or a link to your 2011 favourites, as I would love to read them! If anyone wants swatches of anything or a full product review on anything let me know.

Thanks for reading,
Peace, Love & Lipgloss xoxo
